We provide this internet web site and the services offered on it (collectively, the "Services") under the following terms and conditions of service . For purposes of this Agreement "you" or "your" means you and anyone who has access to use your account. "We" or "us" or The "Company" means the Owner of this web site as set forth herein. You must be at least eighteen (18) years of age to use our services. This website provides Internet users with a comprehensive collection of on-line resources, search engines, classified ads, emails, chat media, and public forums. Company reserves the right to charge users for certain services. Company reserves the right to change these Terms of Use from time to time at its sole discretion. In the case of any violation of these Terms, we reserve the right to seek all remedies available by law and in equity for such violations. YOU UNDERSTAND AND AGREE THAT ANY MATERIAL AND/OR INFORMATION DOWNLOADED OR OTHERWISE RECEIVED OR OBTAINED THROUGH THE USE OF THE SERVICES IS DONE AT YOUR OWN DISCRETION AND RISK AND THAT YOU WILL BE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE TO YOUR COMPUTER SYSTEMS (HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE) OR FOR LOSS OF DATA THAT RESULTS FROM THE DOWNLOAD OF SUCH MATERIAL AND/OR INFORMATION. NOTWITHSTANDING ANY THING CONTAINED HEREIN, AND/OR ANY LAW REGULATING THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN YOU AND COMPANY, THE MAXIMUM LIABILITY OF COMPANY TO YOU WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO USE THE SERVICES OFFERED BY COMPANY.

Contests Rules and Regulations

Who Can Enter:

  1. Entrants must be residents of the State of South Carolina.
  2. Employees of the radio station www.Radio.sc ("Station"), SC Ventures LLC, its parent, subsidiaries, contest sponsors, affiliated companies, advertising and promotion agencies, any other Stations owned by SC Ventures LLC and the immediate family members (i.e., spouses, parents, grandparents, children, grandchildren, and siblings) of each of the above are NOT eligible to enter and/or to win.

Entry:

  1. No purchase is necessary to enter or win. Qualified entrants may enter as often as they wish, unless specified otherwise.
  2. Contestants may only win one prize per person every thirty (30) days unless specified otherwise. For contests that run beyond thirty (30) days, contestants may only win one prize per contest. Contests with major prizes may have additional restrictions.
  3. Station and SC Ventures LLCare not responsible for any entries emails, letters, or any other type of communications, including telephone calls (Entries”) that are misdirected, lost, disconnected, not received, or are illegible.
  4. Entries received that are mutilated, tampered with, illegible, or from ineligible entrants will be void. Entries that are determined by Station Management to be fraudulent will be void and the person making such an entry barred from further participation in that contest. All entries become the property of Station and will not be acknowledged or returned.
  5. Station Management shall be the sole arbiters in all matters relating to the contest and the interpretation of contest rules. The decisions of Station Management shall be final. Entry into station contests constitutes agreement by contestant to abide by these rules, as well as any other specific contest rules established by Station.

Prize(s):

  1. All prizes awarded must be picked up at the Station’s studios at 3290 Ashley Phosphate Road, North Charleston, SC 29418, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, unless Station Management has arranged for the prizes to be picked up at other locations. Prizes will not be mailed.
  2. Prizes will be released to winners only. Winners are required to present a valid state photo ID and social security number in order to pick up any prize. Additionally, ALL winners are required to sign a Winner’s Release relieving the Station, SC Ventures LLC, its parents, subsidiaries, officers, directors, employees, agents and contest sponsors from any and all liability with respect to the receipt and/or use of the prize. Any person who refuses to sign the Release will forfeit the contest prize.
  3. Station reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value for all contests and giveaways. Prizes are not redeemable for cash. No substitution, transfer or assignment of prizes is allowed.
  4. Prizes not claimed within 30 days of being awarded, or in the case of a time sensitive prize, within its period of usability, shall be considered forfeited and will become property of Station. Such prize may be disposed of at the discretion of Station Management.
  5. Winners are responsible for paying all applicable local, county, state and federal taxes on prizes based on the estimated retail value of the prize, as set forth in these rules and/or the specific contest rules issued by Station.
  6. By participating in this contest, each contestant hereby consents to Station and SC Ventures, LLC using the contestant's name, voice, likeness, biographical information, his/her participation in the contest, and the substance of the contestant's telephone call for on-air or internet broadcast and for advertising and promotional purposes. Contestant agrees that no additional compensation will be paid for such usage.
  7. In no event shall Station’s or SC Venture LLC’s total liability for any contest ever exceed five hundred dollars for any contest. In the event there are multiple claims for any contest, that total that any claimants may claim is a portion of the total available for that contest ($500.00). In no event shall Station nor SC Ventures LLC be liable for any attorney fees for any claims for damages for any contest, or any other matters involving the Station.

Odds of Winning/Miscellaneous:

  1. Odds of winning depend on the number of correct and/or eligible entries received and depend on the particular type of contest being run. In many instances a prize may not be won if contestants are not qualified, or if contestants do not provide the winning information of the contest. In the event Station has a third party insure or monitor any contests, the decision of the third party shall be final, and the Station and SC Ventures LLC shall not be liable for any actions of the third party. All tie breaking procedures will be at the discretion of Station management. In no event shall Station or SC Ventures be required to provide any prizes that have a total value of the Prize advertised in the Contest, or $500.00, whichever is less. In the event the Station is relying on a sponsor, or a company insuring the contest, to provide a prize, and the sponsor or other company does not provide the prize, for any reason, Station shall not be required to deliver such prize, and may, but shall not be obligated to provide an alternative prize.
  2. Complete contest rules are available at the Station studios at 3290 Ashley Phosphate Road, North Charleston, SC 29418 during normal business hours of 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  3. Station contests are subject to all applicable laws and regulations and are void where prohibited. Station, SC Ventures LLC, its parents, subsidiaries, officers, directors, employees, agents, contest sponsors and affiliated companies, and advertising and promotion agencies accept no responsibility of liability in connection with any injuries, losses or damages of any kind caused by or resulting from (a) participation in the contest and/or (b) the acceptance, possession and/or use of any prize awarded hereunder.
  4. Station reserves the right to change, alter or modify these rules at any time with or without written notice. These are general contest rules, and rules for individual contests may vary. To the extent that any individual contest rules differ from the rules set forth herein, the individual contest rules will govern and control.
  5. Station reserves the right to end or stop any contest at any time and for any reason.

Rules for Call-In or email Contests:

  1. GENERAL CONTEST RULES APPLY EXCEPT WHERE OTHERWISE NOTED.
  2. No purchase is necessary to enter or win. Qualified entrants may enter as often as they wish.
  3. Listeners or web surfers will be asked to call in or email on a designated telephone line (the phone number will be given on the air) at a particular time or times, or email as the case may be. At the time that calls are solicited, the criteria for winning will be announced (e.g., first six callers, tenth caller, first caller with the correct answer).
  4. One or more contests may be announced from time to time. More than one contest may run simultaneously, but entries will only be solicited for one contest at a time. Station is not responsible for telephone or computer system failure, inability of entrants to reach telephone entry line, disconnected, lost, or misdirected calls or internet connection.
  5. Winners will be selected in accordance with the criteria announced when calls or emails are solicited. The contest will be judged by Station personnel, and the decision of the judges will be final as to all matters, including (i) the order in which calls/emails were received and (ii) whether any answer required to be given is correct.
  6. All calls/emails received from ineligible entrants will be void.
  7. By calling the designated telephone line, or emailing Station, each contestant gives permission and consents to Radio.sc and SC Ventures recording and/or broadcasting contestant's name, voice, participation in the contest, and the substance of the contestant's telephone call/email. Contestant agrees that no additional compensation will be paid for such usage.
