Radio.sc Frequently Asked Questions: Radio Player

Q: The Radio.sc music player does not work when first clicked on or when switching. Is there anything wrong?

A: If you do not hear any music or any sound you may need to clear your cookies and/or cache on your browsers.

On Recent versions of Mozilla Firefox you can do so by going to Tools->Clear Private Data and make sure you have the Cache checked (you don't have to anything else checked) then hit Clear Private Data Now. Or hit CTRL+SHIFT+DELETE as a shortcut to get to the Clear Private Data Now menu.

On Internet Explorer (IE) go to Tools->Internet Options->General and find the Browsing History section and click on Delete. A Delete Browsing History box should appear and a Cookies section should give you an option to delete cookies.

Q: Why is there a blank screen when the pop-up displays on the screen?

A: Our radio player requires the latest Flash player. If you do not have the latest version please download it here.

Q: Why do songs sound like they are cutting in and out?

A: This could happen if you have a slow internet connection, wireless connection or you are listening & downloading large amounts of data at the same time.

Q: I press the "Listen Now" button and nothing happens. What is wrong?

A: The radio player opens in a pop-up window. Check to make sure you don't have a pop-up blocker preventing the player from loading. Also check to make sure you don't have a firewall program that is blocking the page as well.

Q: The Radio Player launches, but no music plays. What do I do?

A: The player uses a service to allow 1000's of people to listen all at the same time. Sometimes however "Road Blocks" can occur especially during peak traffic times. If you find this happening, push the "next song" button located in the top right hand side of the player and the music will be forced to play.
